A few weeks ago I had a chat with a pal who had got a laser cutter and wanted to help me make a kit, we came up with a few ideas and I landed on the Doodle Danglers. A fun and simple kit, you can decorate and make two sets of earrings and two keyrings.

Doodle Danglers

Grab your pals, paints or pens and getting decorating your doodle danglers.
With this kit you will make two pairs of earrings and two keyrings.
The kit contains:
6 wiggly shapes laser cut in light weigh ply wood.
2 pairs of earring hoops and 2 keyrings
You will need some paints or pens.

Each shape measures approximately 7cm.

Decorate the shapes and then pop onto the earring hoops and keyrings!

Which Sewing Machine should you go for?

This is answered easily with which machine should you avoid and it is these mini machines!

“What is you beef with mini machines?” I hear you cry!

Well, they are super flimsy, more difficult than they need to thread, hard to fill the bobbin, not great with anything over medium weight fabric and the foot pedal is tiny and sometimes doesn’t even reach the floor.

My advice AVOID! Yes, you can pick them up for under £30 but if you would like to enjoy using a sewing machine, but don’t want to spend out on a £100 machine I suggest having a look on online market places for a Second Hand Machine or start telling people that you know that you are looking for a machine as someone may have one that they do not use.
